This page contains two documents: the Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled, and the Terms of Use, which govern your use of the game.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and who it is shared with when you use our mobile game "Bible Journey: Quiz & Puzzle" (the "Game"), published by Lazycell Inc., a company established in California, United States ("we", "us"). It applies to the iOS and Android versions of the Game.
By installing or using the Game, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, contacts, photos, microphone or camera input, precise location, or health data. The Game has no chat, no user profiles hosted by us, and no user-generated content uploaded to our servers.
The Game uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the Game is played — for example how far players progress, which questions are answered incorrectly, and how long a session lasts. Firebase Analytics assigns a pseudonymous app instance identifier and collects device and app information (device model, operating system version, language, country, app version) together with the in-game events we send.
The gameplay attributes we attach to this data are aggregate in nature: your player rank, a bucketed count of passages cleared, a bucketed in-game currency balance, the content version installed, and whether you are signed in to a platform game service. We do not send your platform display name, player ID, or any other directly identifying value to our analytics provider.
The Game uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to report crashes and errors. A crash report contains diagnostic information such as the device model, operating system version, app version, and the technical state of the app at the moment of the crash. It is used solely to diagnose and fix defects.
The Game displays a banner advertisement during gameplay and offers optional rewarded video advertisements that you choose to watch in exchange for an in-game bonus. Advertising is served through AppLovin MAX mediation, which may in turn serve advertisements from Google AdMob, Unity Ads, and BidMachine.
These advertising partners may collect and process device identifiers (such as the Apple Advertising Identifier / IDFA or the Google Advertising ID), IP address, coarse location derived from IP address, device and network information, and interaction data about the advertisements shown to you. They use this data to select, deliver, cap the frequency of, and measure advertisements, and — where permitted — to personalize them.
On iOS, personalized advertising that relies on the IDFA requires your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, advertisements are still shown but are not personalized using that identifier. On Android you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in the system settings, and opt out of personalized advertising there. Where required by law, we present a consent request before advertising personalization is enabled, and you may change your choice at any time through the system controls described above.
We do not receive the advertising identifiers ourselves, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.
Bible passages, questions, puzzles, and illustrations are downloaded from our content servers at lazycell.com and from our image delivery network. As with any internet request, our servers receive your IP address, the app and content versions you request, and standard request metadata. This information is used to deliver the content, to operate and secure the service, and is kept only for a limited period in server logs.
Signing in to Apple Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android) is optional and is controlled by your device and platform account settings. If you are signed in, the Game receives your platform player identifier, your display name, and your profile image from the platform, and uses them to show your profile inside the Game and to submit your scores and achievements to the platform's leaderboards and achievement lists.
This information stays between your device and the platform. We do not store it on our servers, and we do not share it with our advertising or analytics partners. Your use of these services is governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies, and your leaderboard visibility is controlled in their settings, not ours.
If you are signed in to a platform game service, your game progress may be backed up so that it survives reinstalling the Game or moving to a new device. On iOS this uses Apple iCloud; on Android it uses Google Play Games Saved Games. In both cases the save data is stored in your own platform account under your own control — it is not stored on Lazycell servers, and we cannot read it. The save contains game progress only: levels cleared, in-game currency, collected illustrations, settings, and similar gameplay state.
You can delete this data through your platform's storage controls, or by deleting the Game's saved data from your Apple or Google account.
The Game can send you optional local reminders — for example a daily scripture prompt. These notifications are scheduled on your device by the Game itself; no notification content is sent through our servers or any third-party push service. Notifications are only scheduled after you grant notification permission, and you can withdraw that permission at any time in your device settings.
When you choose to share a verse or an illustration, the Game hands the image or text to your device's system share sheet. You choose the destination app, and the content is only sent when you complete that action. We do not receive a copy of what you share or a record of where you shared it.
If the Game offers in-app purchases, they are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Your payment method, billing address, and card details are handled by Apple or Google and are never sent to us or seen by us. We receive only the confirmation needed to unlock what you bought. Refunds are handled under the App Store's or Google Play's own refund policies.
Information described above is used to:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond what our advertising partners do under the disclosures and consent choices described in the Advertising section above.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: legitimate interests for operating and securing the Game, crash reporting, and aggregate analytics; consent for personalized advertising, for non-essential analytics where consent is required, and for notifications; and performance of a contract for delivering the Game features you request. You may withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port information about you, to object to certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Because we do not maintain accounts or store identifying information on our servers, the most direct way to exercise these rights is:
To make a request or ask a question, write to [email protected]. We may need information sufficient to locate the relevant records, such as your device platform and approximate dates of use. We respond within the period required by applicable law.
Analytics and crash data are retained by our providers according to their retention settings and are deleted or aggregated after that period. Server request logs are retained for a short period for security and troubleshooting. Progress stored on your device is retained until you delete it or uninstall the Game; cloud save data is retained by Apple or Google until you delete it.
The Game is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Game contains advertising that is not designed for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Game, contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to delete it.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise their children's use of mobile devices and to use the parental controls provided by Apple and Google.
Content is downloaded over encrypted HTTPS connections, and cloud save data is protected by the security of your Apple or Google account. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Game is available worldwide, and our service providers operate globally. Information described in this policy may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, whose data protection laws may differ from those of your country. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, as implemented by the providers named above.
We may update this policy as the Game changes. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new revision date. Material changes will be highlighted in the Game or on this page. Continuing to use the Game after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
Lazycell Inc., California, United States — [email protected]
These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and Lazycell Inc. governing your use of "Bible Journey: Quiz & Puzzle". By downloading, installing, or using the Game, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Game. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Game only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Game on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment and study. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Game except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it; modify, tamper with, or circumvent the Game's progression, advertising, or purchase mechanisms; use automated tools, cheats, or modified clients; extract, scrape, or redistribute the Game's questions, illustrations, or content packs; interfere with our servers or content delivery; or use the Game in any way that violates applicable law or the rules of the App Store or Google Play.
The Game, including its software, artwork, illustrations, user interface, question sets, audio, and trademarks, is owned by Lazycell Inc. or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Scripture text presented in the Game is drawn from public-domain Bible translations. The public-domain status of the underlying scripture text does not extend to the Game's illustrations, question sets, layout, or software, which remain our property.
The Game is an independent product. It is not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with any church, denomination, publisher, or Bible society.
The Game is provided for study and entertainment. Questions, summaries, and illustrations reflect editorial choices made by us and are not offered as theological instruction, doctrinal authority, or professional, spiritual, or pastoral advice. Different traditions read the same passages differently; where accuracy matters to you, consult the scripture text and your own community directly.
The Game may include virtual currency and virtual items. These have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash or exchanged outside the Game, and are licensed to you rather than sold. We may change, rebalance, or discontinue virtual items and currency, and unused balances may be lost if you delete the Game, lose access to your platform account, or if the Game is discontinued. Purchases are final except where a refund is required by law or granted under Apple's or Google's refund policies.
The free version of the Game is supported by advertising. Advertisements are supplied by third parties and their content is not under our control. We do not endorse advertised products or services, and we are not responsible for transactions between you and an advertiser.
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Game, including online content delivery, leaderboards, and cloud save, at any time and without liability. We do not guarantee that the Game will be available uninterrupted or error-free, or that saved progress will always be recoverable — keep in mind that cloud save depends on services operated by Apple and Google.
You may stop using the Game at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to online features if you breach these terms. Provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
The Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Game is free of errors or that defects will be corrected. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lazycell Inc. and its officers, employees, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost progress, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Game. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Game shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Game in the twelve months preceding the claim, or ten United States dollars. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
These terms are between you and Lazycell Inc. only, not with Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Game or its content, have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it, and are third-party beneficiaries of these terms with the right to enforce them against you. Your use of the Game must also comply with the applicable App Store and Google Play terms of service.
We may revise these terms. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new revision date, and continuing to use the Game after it takes effect means you accept the revision.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You and Lazycell Inc. agree that the state and federal courts located in California shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Game.
If you are a consumer, this clause does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country or state of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings in the courts of that place where applicable law gives you that right.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy above, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Game.
